Nor-Cal’s recent Solar & Storage Operations Training (SSOT) held in El Dorado Hills successfully wrapped up. Industry professionals from leading solar companies participated in the program to gain deeper knowledge on critical topics within the solar industry.
The training was held in Nor-Cal Controls' newly renovated training facility, Nor-Cal U. This state-of-the-art space, located in our home office, boasts high-speed Wi-Fi, a well-stocked refrigerator, and comfortable seating, creating the perfect environment for focused learning on solar and storage topics.
SSOT covered a comprehensive range of subjects, including:
SCADA Systems: Participants delved into both the fundamentals and advanced functionality of SCADA systems, gaining valuable insights for efficient plant operation.
Compliance & Risk Management: Experts guided attendees on navigating compliance challenges, including NERC regulations and best practices for cybersecurity.
Technical Asset Management & Performance Analytics: Mastering these skills allows for optimized plant performance and extended lifespan.
The program was designed to benefit a wide range of solar professionals, regardless of the specific SCADA platform they utilize. EPC contractors, asset owners, and anyone else working in the solar gained valuable knowledge and universally applicable principles.
By participating in the SSOT, attendees were able to gain a broader understanding of solar PV & storage plant operations across both utility-scale and commercial & industrial (C&I) sectors of the renewable energy market.
Nor-Cal Controls partnered with Radian Generation (RadianGen) to deliver this exceptional program. RadianGen's expertise in NERC compliance, asset management, and cybersecurity proved invaluable. A team of highly qualified professionals from both companies represented shared in-depth knowledge through engaging presentations.
