Our founder, Bob Lopez, with a twinkle in his eye, recently called us an eclectic bunch from the Island of Misfit Toys, referencing the 1966 classic holiday movie “Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer.” It's a place where toys that don't quite fit the mold find acceptance.
Naturally, the team took hearing this as a badge of honor! Because let's face it, magic happens when unique individuals come together, and this metaphor is a fun and insightful way to describe our workplace dynamics. Just as the misfit toys are unique and different from the standard toy models, us Nor-Calians often possess qualities, skills, or perspectives that deviate from the corporate norm.
